Born in 1950 in the Creuse Christian Richard practiced a picture after the age of shorts. The desertification of the region of birth forced to emigrate early in the Paris region which created in him a lack that he tried more or less offset by nature photography and the environment. Published first in postcards general illustration, a time he specialized in images of Sterba Pierregarain flight, which, after several years of effort, enabled him to become winner of the 1987 Foundation's Photo Service. He then created the photography department of the Company French Horse, whose mission is to organize the trotting races in France, including the Prix d'Amerique.
In this context, he received a few awards:
- Best Racing Action Photograph (World Trotting Conference Helsinki 2001)
- Best Racing Action Phototgraph and Best Still Photograph (World Trotting Conference Rome 2005)
- Best Racing Action Photograph (World Trotting Conference Oslo 2009)
Currently, he is focusing on photos of birds, most of which are available from the agency Naturimages.
Christian Richard was awarded the 4th Exhibition of photographs of animals in the Val de Saône (in 2010).
