Professional for over twenty years, Michael Wolf mainly photographed landscapes and nature his native Jura. His reports abroad (Madagascar, Brazil) does not prevent him from staying faithful to this enchanting mountain. He has published several books, which are expressed in the deep ties that unite the nature Jura, particularly some lakes still mysterious.
Water and light are the two cornerstones of his pictorial universe. It is with that obstinacy, for years, the photographer watching their meeting and their subtle play in wild places of the Jura, where it is fog, snow, ice, lake or stream, water is everywhere. The attraction of Michel
the aquatic environment has turned to fascination when he tipped in the strange world of water lilies.
Obsessed with the alchemy of light and sky reflecting off the leaves of water lilies, he spent much time on the shoreline in the photograph. Indeed, these emblematic species of European wetlands also symbolize the photographer for the increasing fragility of natural habitats to behaviors and increasingly irrational mankind as a whole.
His photographs, displayed at numerous festivals, won awards at the prestigious international contest "Wildlife Photographer of the Year" in 2005, 2006 and 2009, the year he won first prize in the category "The Underwater World" with the singular image entitled Reflections on the pike.
His work has been published in numerous books and magazines in nature.
